Reflections on My First Year: Exam Results and Next Steps

I waited with bated breath and finally got the results from my final exam back on March 31. This completed the course requirements. I officially put this course, Pre-Confederation Canadian History, behind me.

I ended up getting a mark of 82 per cent on the final exam, weighted for 40 per cent of my total mark. With the 70 and 71 per cent marks I received on the two assignments of the course, I ended up with a 75 per cent final mark for the course, which is still not the worst I’ve done in my university career.

With the course officially done, I am officially done with my first year of a four-year program. At this rate, I’ll be done by the time I’m retired…

I have 30 more credits/10 more courses to take to complete the pre-program requirements for my Bachelor of Professional Arts in Communications. The bright side is that I have already completed a couple of the program courses, so that will help me out down the road.

I’m feeling lighter with the course done. I was definitely stressing over it.

The next few weeks are going to be busy with work, but with school off my desk for a bit, I’ll be able to get some downtime as well. And, we have holidays booked in three weeks which I’m looking forward to.

As I’ve said before, I’m not sure which my next course is going to be, but I’m aiming to start my next course for June 1.
