Kevin J Sabo is an author, photographer, and mental health advocate located in East-Central Alberta, Canada.

Dealing with diagnoses of Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression for his entire adult life, things came to a head in 2013 due to Post-Traumatic Stress related to his job as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Struggling with severe symptoms of his mental illness for the last several years, Kevin began entering recovery around 2017.

His recovery took tremendous strides forward when he began writing and taking pictures for his local paper. Soon both activities have exploded beyond that small role, and now Kevin finds himself as editor of his local newspaper and a sole proprieter of his own photography business.

When not taking pictures or writing, Kevin can be found hanging out with his wife Lynn and their three dogs or helping at the couple’s used bookstore, “The Purple Platypus,” or gaming on his Playstation 4.

This blog is Kevin’s no-holds barred accounting of his mental health journey as well as a place to showcase his artwork.
