Rebranding

Thrutheashes.blog is no more.

After a few weeks of contemplation, and poking around in WordPress, I have made the decision to merge my photography website and my blog.

Thrutheashes served me well when I was in the depths of my mental health recovery, however, in recent months I have come to feel that I am moving beyond that particular point in my life.

While my blog posts will still have a mental health-related tint, I will transition to more general blogging with a focus on my photography, equipment, and experiences going forward.

I am still going to be honest and open in what I publish but as far as my mental health journey goes I feel like I am running out of story to tell.

This blog has come a long way since I started it in 2017. I have come a long way since 2017.

Rebranding to kevinjsabophotography.com is just one more step on my way to recovery.

The fact of the matter is, the last decade has been hell. There have been more than a couple times when I didn’t think I would make it through; but, being persistent paid off and I am now in a situation I never thought possible.

I can’t deny my story; I am more than happy to share it with those who want to listen. I am living proof that recovery from mental illness is possible.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows; I still have my bad days. However, they are nowhere near as bad as they once were. Because of that, I can finally start moving my forward and letting go of the past.

Yesterday is history, but with everything I have worked towards and put in place tomorrow seems a lot less daunting.

Thrutheashes anchors me to the past, and I feel there is much more to the future than just that. In short, I feel I have outgrown that part of me.

I hope readers will follow me as I continue the next stage of my creative journey.
