I need to do better at writing on my blog; after all, it is where I got my start.

Life continues to be busy with work work and school.

As far as work goes, there never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done that I need to, but for the most part part I am managing to stay on top of things. I would definitely classify work as a positive stress in my life.

I can’t believe how fast the last few months have flown by. June 1 will be seven months on staff, and six months working full time. It has been a blur.

As for school, I started my new course on May 1.

The course I chose to take this time around is another communications course. It is interesting so far; albeit a bit dry.

Still, as with work, I am continuing to enjoy school.

With the weather warming up and getting a bit nicer outside I have started tackling some of the outdoor projects that need to be done. With the rain we have been getting our lawn has shot up, and our poor lawnmower, which is battery-operated electric, is having a hard time with it. It doesn’t help that the machine is a first generation electric mower and nearly a decade old, so I have a feeling that it will be time to be retired soon.

I also got digging out some weeds and trees that have decided to take root in our front garden bed. I was honestly getting tired of looking at them. I got about half the garden yesterday, and will have to finish up the rest when I get some more time.

Something else I managed to do of late, which I haven’t managed in I don’t know how long, is head out for a wildlife drive with my camera. While I didn’t spot too much last night, I did manage to get a few good shots of some water fowl, a bunny that was playing peek-a-boo, and a deer that was posing on the side of a hill.

While I was out, I stopped to take a look at Notre Dame church in the northeast corner of the Paintearth County. The approximately 100-year-old church is definitely showing it’s age and I’m honestly amazed that it remains standing. This winter looks like it was particularly hard on the structure and it now has much more of a lean on it than it had before.

While I am not going to be posting as frequently as I was in the past, I am going to try and get back into the habit of posting at least a bit more frequently.
