The last couple of days have continued to be busy.

I have to admit, I am enjoying the fact that I’ve been able to maintain this pace. It feels good to actually be productive.

Unfortunately, I haven’t made the time to get back into my workouts again. It just seems like there is always something else popping up, and things just seem to be getting busier as we head into the holiday season.

Still, I know I need to make that time, because the fitness is something that really does help my moods, and the last thing I need is to have two weeks-plus creep by. I’m intending to take Sunday more or less off, so I’m going to make a point of getting down into the gym then.

Otherwise, things have been good. I took pictures at a local hockey game this afternoon, trying out my new Sigma 150-600 lens. I love the lens, but it is definitely a heavy beast. It takes great pictures though. I still have to go through the photos, which I haven’t had a chance to do, due to Adobe doing an update, and Adobe Bridge is now not wanting to download all the photos off the of the memory card. Stupid updates.

Today, I also had the pleasure of interviewing a lady who is moving from town in the coming week. She’s been in the community for 43 years, and has been a big part of our church family since we’ve been going. It’s not going to be the same without her, however I can’t begrudge her wanting to move closer to family. I’m grateful for the opportunity to know her, let alone have the opportunity to interview her for the paper before she leaves.

Aside from that, I’ve been working on a couple of other stories, though they have been slowing, waiting for people to get back to me. Being a weekend doesn’t help matters any either. Oh well, all good things come to those who wait.

Mentally, I’m feeling good. Strong. Though I am a little disappointed that my last appointment with Dr. M never happened. I was supposed to talk to him on Thursday afternoon, however he never called. I called the lady who schedules for him on Friday, and she said he usually does, and if I don’t hear from him by the middle of next week to let her know and she will reschedule me. I’m glad that it was just a follow up appointment though, and that I am doing pretty good. Still, I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

Tomorrow, being Sunday, is looking to be pretty quiet. I’m going to try and take some time away from the computer, and spend some time curled up on the couch with Lynn. We have been managing so little of that lately, then Monday is turning into a busy week again, so may as well take the downtime while I can.
