Mastering my craft…

The day hasn’t been overly busy, but it has been steady.

I was up and out earlier than I have been of late. I was filming the weekly devotional put out by our church during the Covid-19 shutdown.

After we finished the filming, I headed down to the store to do the editing on the video and get it uploaded to Facebook before taking over from Lynn at the store so she could go work at the church.

The store ended up being busier than I was expecting, but that is okay. I still managed to get some writing done and some phot editing. Using the skills I’ve been picking up in my photoshop course, I’ve been going through and editing some of our wedding photos from over a decade ago.

The photographer that we used was a friend who took the photos, and supplied them to us on a card, but they didn’t do much in the way of editing. I’m actually quite enjoying going through the photos again. Talk about a trip down memory lane!

I’m loving the challenge, and as well I’m loving the fact that I’m being able to put my newly learned skills to use. It’s doing a good job of really solidifying the skills.

One photo I’ve done is of the bridal party that had a misplaced garbage can in front of it.

The shot definitely had potential. Using the skills I’ve learned I turned that photo into this next one.

I have to admit, I’m not unhappy with the results. The photo still needs some work, but I am happy with the progress so far. Anyhow, working on those photos is going to be a side project, not that I don’t have enough of those going on.

Back to the rest of my day, the store kept me busy, and after work since Lynn and I were both out of the house, we did our usual Friday thing which is getting take out or going out. Tonight we opted on out, now that one of the restaurants in our area is open to the public again. B, who is in town for a few days, joined us for supper, and then came over for a movie. Tonight we watched “The Empire Strikes Back,” as he has never seen it before. Heck, he hasn’t seen many sci-fi movies before.

Tomorrow I’m sitting in on a writing webinar put on through the Writers Guild of Albert and taking photos at an event happening in town. With how busy I’ve been lately I think I am going to take a time out tomorrow as well, and play some Playstation and generally just unwind.
