Five-hundred posts in two and a half years.
In some ways it feels like just yesterday that I started this mental health recovery blog. In others it feels like it has been forever.
The last couple of years have been full of ups and downs, which I have tried to share along the way. I started this blog to educate people about mental illness, and to share my journey along the way.
Like any journey, my mental health recovery has been fraught with challenges; something I have been reminded of in the last few days.
I’m still struggling today. I’m in a semi-panic because my final exam is coming upon me quickly, and I don’t know that I am ready for it. Then again, I don’t know that I am not ready either. I keep studying, keep doing practise exams, some of which I am succeeding at, some of which I’m not.
I keep studying, trying to improve my scores on the quizzes, and ending up with mixed results.
Part of me questions whether or not the extra studying has been paying off, or if I am just dulling my edge by continuing to study for hours at a time.
Regardless, by Thursday evening the exam will be done and I will be looking toward my next challenge. My only hope is that once the exam is done my stress level will back down again.
I know that part of the reason I’m struggling right now is because of the exam stress.
As far as this blog goes, I intend to keep sharing my journey through mental health recovery, warts and all.
Thanks for being along for the ride.
Kevin
