And another course done…

I know it’s been a couple of months since I’ve written.

Over the last couple of months, I have been hyper-focused on two things: work and school.

As far as school goes, it’s now in the hands of my advisor; I wrote my final exam yesterday. After a full year, I have finally concluded my Canadian History to 1867 course.

While I enjoyed it, and learned a lot, it was definitely the most brutal course I have taken to date and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that it is complete. I think part of the brutality could be from trying to juggle full-time work with school, but I know I am not the only person who has ever done that, and seeing as I am only doing one course at a time I really can’t complain.

I do know I have to give myself some grace; in addition to working full time and school, I do have to balance my mental health as well. I know I have had some dips throughout the last year, which have not helped matters any. While I am doing better today than I ever thought possible, my mental health is still something I still have to factor into my life.

Seeing as I have been going pretty hard with schooling since I started this journey in 2019 without a break, with this course concluded, I am taking a couple of months to sit back, recover, and recharge before I hit it again. My aim is to start my next course for the beginning of June.

April is already shaping up to be busy on its own without the added stress of school, and in May I’m hoping to get some actual downtime and maybe dig into my photography again. I haven’t been out shooting in months, and I miss it.

Otherwise, I’m planning to get some more activity on here again; I’ve been doing a bit more reading and am considering starting to do some book reviews in addition to my mental health and photography topics.

Mentally, I am feeling good. Great, actually. Like I said, I feel like a weight has been lifted. Onwards and upwards.
