I feel like I have been firing on all cylinders lately.
While school has continued to be a struggle, when it comes to work and personal life, things have been going well. I feel like I am at the top of my game where it comes to work, I’ve gotten myself into a fairly consistent workout routine, and my wake/sleep cycle is fairly nailed down.
As far as school goes, I’ve been spending extra time on it, and I’m sure it will come. It’s just a lot. The course has a lot of rote memorization and a lot of details. It’s an absolutely fascinating topic though; I’m continuing to study pre-confederation Canadian history.
In addition to my school reading, I’ve been doing a lot of other reading this year. I recently finished a book on mental health in journalism, which was an interesting read, and I’m currently reading the Mark Manson tome The Subtle Art of Not Giving a (Bleep)., which has also been a good read.
Between my fun books, audiobooks, and self-improvement books, for the year to date, I have read 18 books so far this year. My goal was to read 20 this, which I am safely going to reach, and exceed.
About the only thing I haven’t been doing lately is getting out and doing photography. Between work and school, I’ve just had too many other things on the go, which is sad, because it is something I love to do. Unfortunately, I can’t do everything.

Still, I feel like I’m in a good position to be in. I know things still need some tweaking, especially if I want to get back into my photography, but I have a solid foundation going into the future.
